Babi Lamba

Babi Lamba is The Hilltop Institute's director of information systems and programming. She manages the IT programming department, supervising and coordinating the work of the department's statisticians, analysts, web designers, and SAS and Access programmers. She oversees information systems planning and implementation, development and maintenance of Hilltop's extensive databases, and data processing support activities.

Ms. Lamba was previously a senior research analyst in Hilltop's rate setting department, developing capitation rates for HealthChoice, Maryland's Medicaid managed care program. Prior to joining The Hilltop Institute, Ms. Lamba was a research scientist with the Office of Vital Statistics and Epidemiology in the New York City Department of Health, where she provided programming support, performed statistical analyses, and identified health-related trends in the city of New York.

Ms. Lamba has a master's degree in statistics from the University of Delhi (India) and a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Miranda House, Delhi (India), where she graduated with honors.
