Julie Gielner

Julie Gielner is a senior research analyst at The Hilltop Institute. Her responsibilities include providing programming and analytical support using SAS and SQL on a Unix workstation for multiple external and internal Maryland Medicaid data requests and analytical projects. Ms. Gielner has extensive experience in maintaining large data sets and programming in multiple languages on multiple types of platforms.

Ms. Gielner came to The Hilltop Institute from HCIA, Inc., where she was a programmer/analyst responsible for the development, maintenance, and enhancement of information systems for the health care industry. Before that, Ms. Gielner worked in various capacities for Baltimore City Health Department's Preventative Medicine and Epidemiology team.

Ms. Gielner earned a B.S. in information systems from UMBC.
