Philip Mervis

Philip (Phil) Mervis is a web designer and developer at The Hilltop Institute. As such, he is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web-based application systems. He is proficient in several software packages and applications, including Photoshop, ColdFusion MX, SQL, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and XML.

Prior to joining The Hilltop Institute, Mr. Mervis was senior application developer for Agora, Inc., a Baltimore-based publishing company. In this position, he wrote support code for CMS and e-mail programs. He also built and maintained websites and back end portals and developed over 20 sites through Site Executive, including templates and custom security. As webmaster at Corvis Corporation, Mr. Mervis developed over 30 full-cycle data-driven application websites. He also performed integration with databases and developed a human resource employee performance rating application and stock options distribution system. Mr. Mervis has many years of experience in the field, including freelance work and previous positions as web developer and specialist at UMBC.

Mr. Mervis holds a bachelor of science degree in information systems from Strayer University.
